THE TICKING GENE
The T Gene - known as ticking

T - pair produces ticking, the little spots frequently seen on the muzzle and feet .

The T gene is dominant to t - non ticked

T - dominant produces ticking (in homozygous , produces tiny spots over the whole body)

t - recessive - non ticked (does nothing)

Ticking is is inherited separately from the roan and does not grade in to it as so many erroneously believe
