| The T Gene - known as ticking
T - pair produces ticking, the little spots frequently
seen on the muzzle and feet .
The T gene is dominant to t - non ticked

T - dominant produces ticking
(in homozygous , produces tiny spots over the whole body)
t - recessive - non ticked (does nothing)
Ticking is is inherited separately from the roan and
does not grade in to it as so many erroneously believe
