Simple Puppy Pen
Pain in Your Hands

Pain in your hands, wrist or thumbs from carpal tunnel, tendonitis or arthritis this might help! or do you just want a simpler and faster cleaning process?
Do you use a plastic bucket and rag or sponge when cleaning cages or whelping boxes ice cream bucket
or a spray bottle  pump spray bottle
make the job easier on your hands and wrist, make it faster and more efficient, always ready!
modify a small garden sprayer
(use a one or two gallon sprayer, what ever you are comfortable with)

cheap plastic
garden sprayer
(this type sprayer should be available at nearly any home and garden center or department store)
make sure the ferrules that attach the hose to the tank and to the handle can be slid on the hose, look to see if the wand can be removed so the nozzle can be placed directly on the handle (may be handier for some)
remove the short stiff plastic hose and and replace with a ten foot supple hose
the pressure tank eliminates refilling as often and the longer hose allows walking from place to place without moving or carrying the sprayer tank
and the best part is no pumping the trigger over and over

Howto:
you will need a sharp knife to split the original hose for removal from the nipples on the tank and handle
(good pocket knife, x-acto or box cutter)
once removed put a ferrule over each end of hose making sure they are in the same direction as on old hose
force new hose over nipples and replace on tank and handle (if your hands, thumbs or wrist are too stiff and/or sore, get someone to do this for you as it may take considerable strength to remove and replace on nipples)
when looking for replacement hose the typical size is:
3/8" OD x 1/4" ID and comes in small rolls of 10 and 20 foot lengths that is rated at 55 PSI
Vinyl Tubing (comes in black or clear (maybe more colors)
I opt for the clear, as coloring in the plastic can make it more brittle

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST MAKE SURE THE DOGS CAN NOT GET A HOLD OF THE SPRAYER OR THE HOSE!
DISINFECTANTS AND CLEANERS ARE NOT HEALTHY FOR THE DOGS (the hose is under pressure and if punctured will spray from hole)
AND IT WILL ONLY TAKE ONE BITE TO RUIN THE HOSE
